About Casa Pombal
Casa Pombal is a small bed & breakfast on the top of a hill in the historical heart of Coimbra. This old townhouse is utterly unpretencious and will stir feelings of nostalgia for those student years.

Casa Pombal is open all year around.
Rooms
The rooms are basic, but stylish decorated, each with its own portuguese atmosphere. All rooms have heating and most rooms have private bathrooms. Some rooms have a beautiful view over the city and the river Mondego.
Breakfast
Included in the price is a ‘dutch’ breakfast served in the comman room, decorated with fine tiles. Guests can also meet on the small vine-covered patio.

Due to the limited number of rooms, personal care is guarenteed. The dutch manager and her staff are very willing to give lots of local information. For our guests we have free internetfacilities.
The name
‘Pombal’ is portuguese for dove-cot – a hospitable residence where travellers are heartly welcomed.
